Celebrating SEVEN YEARS as the Original Computer Doofus!!!

This March will be SEVEN YEARS that this page has been ranked NUMBER ONE for the Google search "Computer Doofus." Sometimes I wonder if Big Al, the Original Computer Doofus, is somehow famous the world over and we're sitting here none the wiser? Regardless, I guess he'll just have to continue selling forklifts and paying the bills. At least his website, a very rudimentary one-page HTML file with a single graphic, is still going strong...

Well, Google keeps changing the way they index pages but Big Al keeps ranking #1 the world over for "The Original Computer Doofus!" We aren't sure how much longer this will last but it's been a good run. We also performed some changes so that this page passes the Google Mobile-Friendly Page Test so hopefully that won't affect Big Al's ranking... and we might be #1 on mobile search going forward, too? Time will tell.
And, in typical form, when I called Big Al to let him know he's been mobile-optimized for another decade of search ranking, he asked me what the web address was. When I said "Computer Doofus dot com" he just wanted to verify the spelling - and so as he typed in the URL, he recited:

A couple years ago I created a web analytics & forensics service that tracked user intent on my websites. I made a programming error on ComputerDoofus.com and accidentally crashed the site when adding the code for it, and the site went offline. I didn't notice for years :(
Today I have realize the mistake and I put the site back online. So much for my spotless record on Google!!! But let's see if this silly little site can claw its way back to the top. The Computer Doofus will reign again!
